cd changer broken

Hi ,having removed my stuck cd cartridge from my 2003 4.4 v8 ,having been extremely brutal(I really lost my rag lol),it no longer registers on the system.i know I've completely knackered it up.im looking to replace it .my problem is that it seems buried in the depths of the dash.im debating wether to just leave it or try to get it fixed.can anyone offer some sort of practical relatively inexpensive solution .regards tony.

Is yours touchscreen or non-touchscreen?

if non touchscreen i'd look at an upgrade to be honest Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
Mantec Sump Guard, Rigid Load liner, MY10 BT upgrade.

It's the non touch version .although I have had a DVD player and a free view box fitted in the boot.due to losing the tv .would it be possible to slave off one of those 2 in the boot and have a remote control instead.not sure if its possible though?regards tony

Will the DVD player play mp3s ? If so create an mp3 DVD of all your songs, should get you @ 1000 tunes Smile .

search ebay for "range rover cd changer", plenty there you might find a bargain.

I guess you didn't try the "tap with a screwdriver handle" approach to get the cartridge out then ? Big Cry .

Allows you to play music from and control your ipod instead of the CD changer - full control via the Sat Nav screen - search the bay of e there are usually some for sale, or search this site for loads of relevant threads!!

CD changers were a great idea - 20 years ago Wink

Cheers

Jerry
