Transmission Failure Warning

My wife tried to start the car this morning, turned the key and nothing. Transmission fault indication on the dash. Battery appears to be ok, ie all lights are strong etc. Problem is the cars in Edinburgh and I'm in London until the weekend.
Any thoughts ?.

More than likely the battery.
I had similar, the lights & everything works but there's not enough power in the battery to turn the starter and in my case I didn't even get a "click" from the starter motor.
Jumpstarting off another vehicle will get it running but the powerpacks won't unless it's good, high amp, pack.

I forgot that bit, Stan, otherwise you end up with a Christmas tree for a dash. Thumbs Up

Thanks guys, it sounds as though the battery - hopefully! is the culprit as that was exactly as she described the fault.

Get the biggest you can find, I believe the 110 AH Bosch is a big favourite of the people on here for Euro Car Parts. There will be a discount code here somewhere as well, just do a search.

I could only get 100 AH but would have preferred 110 as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
