Full closure alarm

The handbook tells me I`ve a full closure alarm but tried it today and it didn`t work.

Is this another feature you have to pay the dealer to do an upgrade to the system or is it only only on certain models? (mine is a 55 vogue se) MY10 3.6 TD V8 Autobiography

It`s an alarm that closes the windows and sunroof if left open. MY10 3.6 TD V8 Autobiography

Thanks, I`ll try it tomorrow. Maybe I didn`t hold button down long enough to make it kick in. MY10 3.6 TD V8 Autobiography

On 2007MY+, that is something which is dealer enabled. So if it doesn't work......go to the stealer....

Yes, it is a dealer enabled (or disabled) feature. My 2002 had it enabled, but my current car doesn't. I believe all cars with remote central locking and electric windows have this feature, so why on Earth it wasn't enabled on my car - I don't know.

I'm just wondering if Dan's box of tricks would work for this? Java with Ivory 2006 4.2 Supercharged. 23.5k miles - NOW SOLD!

Tried holding the fob longer today with windows open and on the first attempt the front suspension dropped 6"!!??

Tried it a few times but nothing Sad

Does anyone know how much will a stealer charge for enabling this?

Why it isn`t on as standard if it`s available on the system god only knows! MY10 3.6 TD V8 Autobiography

It's the sort of thing that once I've found the correct code to enable the setting it is, along with other dealer programable functions. But it's slow going. I need to focus on the BMW boards I think, there are more people willing to investigate their software...

Dan,

Do you know of any other `upgrades` that are available by setting the system up? MY10 3.6 TD V8 Autobiography

Seems that the "System" without the codes is more frustrating than simply not having the system Laughing

Not really, as I've already dissabled the warning message from my LED lights and recoded TV on the move...
