That unit looks like the vaporiser for your lpg system.

Looks to me like it is a weep on the oil filter housing or the pipes from the oil filter housing to the engine. |

Hi guys thanks for the replies, it's not part of the LPG I have since discovered that part is the oil filter housing. Are leaks on this part common and how hard is it to replace the part? 2004 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 v8 LPG, Java Black, 22' Hawke Alloys, Black Beast |

it could be residual oil from when it was last oil changed, ie when you lift out filter, its drips all over housing, thus runs down and hanging on the lower parts, i would clean it with some spirit, and kep an eye on it to let it reval itself at correct source. obviously keep an eye on sump level too. mine has weep leaks here also. where the pipes join the housing there are O rings i believe, clamped in and may have become dislodged and weeping. those would be quite easy to replace. and only pennies. the housing unbolts and becomes more manageable to turn over. |
