In life you get what you pay for and the quality is remembered long after the price is forgotten...

I had taken better Photos but have never uploaded them, so if anyone is interested PM with your E mail address and I can send them to you, as I said in the advert its never going to be the cheapest one in the market, but you would not be disappointed in it, its properly maintained and would pass any inspection in my view.

Can't fault ou on your logic as I've bought some crap in the past but its only worth what hen market will pay
BUT
I think the same car with similar mies without he mods is probably worth as a private sale say £19k
the mods you've done have obviously cost you money but you will never get the full amount of this bac.k so say you spent £3k on upgrade ad £3k on wheels you will never get his back (I know I've been spending money on cars for years). This limits the market as ome people only buy standard cars
Also puts you up into dealer territory with that price
Not looking for an argument just stating the fact

To be fair your right but you cant get a 2010 face lift and the Over finch Aero 111 kit for £3k for that upgrade alone its would likely be £6k +, your right though you never get it all back when you come to sell.
But what would you rather do as a buyer, buy from a dealer who took the car in a couple of days ago and know really nothing about it or buy from an enthusiast who can take you through the history them take you to the garage that does his work, I know which I would rather do but each to there own.

I could take all the upgrades off and as you say sell it for £18-20 then sell the other bits separately but its not what I would prefer to do.

I have not advertised it any where else to date so I am happy to see what interest there is here then review what I do.

I'm sure Gaz will be along soon with the "definitive" value.

personally, I think it's way too expensive for what it is, but there might well be somebody willing to spend that amount of money on an MY10 facelift, not realising that the real thing can be seen for only a few grand more! As has been said, the market dictates the price, not the seller. Whistle Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

agreed with general view here. its a lovely car but veryyyy overpriced. I was expecting the car to have around 50-60k on the clock at that price, no way for 118k.

Full credit to you though because it looks gorgeous and very well looked after. good luck with the sale.

Have to agree. For that money there are plenty of 'normal' 2009/09 or or even 59 Vogues on AT with 80k or less on the clock.
The problem is that a lot of buyers do not want modified cars, as its all a pita for insurance. 22" alloys destroy the fantastic ride quality that a FF normally has over our potholed roads (and make it look like a chav footballers car too, imo)
Also, if you buy from a dealer, whether LR or indie, you have some comeback if it dies a week/month later. Private sales have no such protection

Maybe I'm just getting old though. All the best of luck with selling it at that price. I just think you'll still be holding on to it in a year My plan was idiot-proof ...

Until someone designed a better idiot

To be honest if I still have it in a year I would not be too disappointed, I can sell the D3 and happily keep it as well as the new one.

TBH if the seller asks gaz to post up a valuation then thats fair, but i think commenting on it jus to say is overpriced is, well rude to be honest..

Would any of you like i if someone came along and said 'ooo is too expensive lad but i wasnt interested in buying one anyway'?? I think not.

I know I'll take some burn for this but we know im at least a little right! FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

If you advertise it on a forum then you are going to get varying opinions. All reasonable comments are fair enough. It's great that Gaz can offer a little reality check to sellers, and buyers. If Trantorman is looking for a sale anytime soon then I'm sure he will be glad of a market appraisal FOC from Gaz. Previously..

The tricky bit with this particular FFRR is the Overfinch kit. If it was a standard or a standard MY2010 conversion, it is easy to compare prices with the market. Since it has an Overfinch kit on it, there is potentially some added value for people that like that style and to people that would consider doing a similar conversion anyway. For those people there is an added benefit that would be worth a premium over a standard.

For the people that don't like that type of kit on the car, it actually reduces the value as they would prefer to bring it back to "normal" and that would cost extra.

And then there is the group that wouldn't mind the kit if it is on the car but would not put it on themselves.

So the first and last group are the ones that would look at the price and say "I want to have a closer look".

The second group however will not be interested.

So based on the above, the question is not about the price itself but about the premium the Overfinch kit is worth to the first and last group potential buyers.

So even if Gaz puts a valuation on it with the CAP system, that is for a standard car and not for an Overfinched one.

So to me the whole discussion of it is priced to high or not is not really relevant. The question is, would the potential buyer of a "kitted" FFRR accept the premium that is put onto the "normal price" here.

For the record, I'm in the second group and would keep looking for a standard car (not even a conversion, I'd rather wait till I can afford a 2010 and up model), so I have no comments on the price. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
