Mikey, I dont know the technical reason for the trigger but in all the autos I have driven I have never used it. So, not a daft question BUT did make me laugh |

Roscoe, you must use the trigger to change out of P though. No longer FF owner but still interested. Present car Jaguar XE

D to N moves without use of the trigger and vice versa, it least it always has in mine. |

Mikey, well me, I have had to go out and start the car to see what I do, indeed I use the trigger to get out of park, just shows you...unconscious competence, or at least that is my excuse, I would have sworn I never touched the bloody thing, you learn something every day |

It's done so nothing can unintentionally knock the selector out of Park. |
