there are two cables that operate the door mechanism ..one from the outside and one from the inside, I think your outside one has broken.. ... - .- -.

If you are unsure on how to remove the door card there is a clip on you tube by powefull showing how it's done

Many thanks folks, it must be the outside door opening cable. I'll get to it sometime next week.

This has just happened to me this morning. Went to open door and handle didnt work.. Im going to check out the door card removal video you mentioned when i get home later today and hopefully have a go this week. Can the cable be repaied or do you need to buy a new one? 2003 Range Rover HSE 3.0 TD6
