Best Lower Arm Balljoint RBJ500920

I ordered a Britpart front lower arm from Island4x4 yesterday. I was wondering how do they compare to the Lemforder ones or the Delphi ones?

My order is still saying 'processing' and I haven't yet got a reply to an email asking how long before it will be posted. Does anyone here have any experience of how Island ordering works and how long it should take to get to Dublin.

I need it fairly soon as my NCT (MOT) failed only on the ball joint and I have 3 weeks to fix it before I require a complete new test...

I wouldn't rate delphi parts if you can get the balljoints in swag brand really good quality (quite often febi bilstien in the box) and not dear other than that the Lemforder stuff is really top. Wouldn't do a job like balljoints and not fit top quality as I wouldn't want to have to do it again 2004 td6 Adriatic Blue

Just doing a search in lower arms and found this thread, so I thought I'd add my 2 cents.

I bought 2 lower arms from island 4x4 in March 2010. Car was on 90,000 miles then. In 2012, the car failed the MOT on the bushes fitted in those arms. (Approx 14k covered, all road). I replaced the bushes with genuine LR and now this year, the ball joints on the same arms are worn. Total mileage in those arms around 20k/3yrs. Not great when you consider they were 2/3rds the price of a genuine arm. Factor the bushes into it and they work out the same price.

Fit genuine parts - false economy not to.

I replaced my suspension arms with non genuine because I had knocking front suspension, fitted them and still had knocking!
Fitted genuine, knocking gone... Pay the extra, nothing worse than doing job twice and actually worked out more expensive!
