Thanks.. That's what fine looking S/C are advertised for but are people actually buying them for that money or are they gathering dust on forecourts/ that's what I'm wondering?

Cheers

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

If the dealers told you they're not giving any discounts, I'd assume that means people are buying them....

Plenty of choice out there, take your custom elsewhere. If I were buying now, I'd ask Gaz to source me a vehicle - his reputation on here is excellent 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

£20k sounds about right for that mileage facelift model.

My car is a facelift S/C with 84k on the clock - reckon it's worth about £18.5k ish (albeit it's mint with a great spec and a few nice additions).

Add the peace of minf of a LR dealer warranty and a few less miles and that seems about right.

I'm yet to meet a dealer who won't take at least some sort of (sensible) offer. I've never paid the 'sticker price' for a car in my life... Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...
2007 Porsche 997 C2S Coupe
2007 FFRR 4.2 S/C
2012 Jag XKR 5.0 S/C
2014 Merc SL500 AMG 4.7 V8 BiTurbo (remapped to 560BHP)
2011 FFRR 4.4 TDV8 Vogue SE - Overfinch Conversion
2012 Porsche Cayenne Turbo
2018 AMG C63S Estate
2015 Mercedes GLE63S
2017 Maserati Levante Diesel

Finally bought one today (well deposit paid and barring a disasterous misdescription from the supplier - which I don't anticipate - should collect it this Friday):

It has been a saga but after much dialogue with main dealer we have bought car my original post was about.. silver, full LR SH... looks very very nice, nice spec and confidently described as an 'A Car' which should equate to my immaculate and not a lemon... hopefully.

Tried Gaz Ellio who kindly replied but he was on holiday until later in the week and we needed to get a car so...

Happy enough with the deal.. Paying full asking price but getting 12 month LR warranty, serviced by supplier before we get it, 4 brand new tyres by the supplier, reported minor minor cosmetics recitified and a contribution to the next service when due.

Hope it's worth it and - as the saying goes - hope I'm not a victim to the fact that the dealership had big windows, hence saw me coming!!! Neutral

Not all dealers are stealers, not all car salesmen are crooks and not all FFRRs are lemons. So good luck !!! MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

We have'nt bought it in Scotland...

Always prepared to travel the length and breadth for the right car (which I really hope it is) ... even if I did break my mould of 'never paid screen price in my life and not about to start now' Embarassed ...

Weighed up what the car was on for, the actual car itself, the relatively low mileage, the owner/ the service history, the service being done, the 4 new tyres, the warranty etc and even the people selling the car to be fair...

Worked out that if as described, it was on for book price/ or at least seemed competitive (have'nt seen a comparable one for sale) and even if a nominal purchase price reduction had been offered, the chances of getting 'the right one' with all those things done etc was remote.
