1 week anniversary - broke down already :(

Went to start the car this morning, opens fine most dash lights come on, no warning error, touch screen doesn't come or radio, strange noise coming from behind the dash. Put key in, turn - nothing - doesn't even attempt to start! Could be the battery but I don't have a tester, time to call the RAC

Thanks Stan, not the start I wanted to owning a FFRR but never mind, hopefully just the battery and Rac will sort it. How do you set the steering parameters?

after the range has started turn the steering wheel fully left and then fully right , this avoids getting error messages on the dash..info is in the wiki under 'battery disconnection' ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan, still waiting for RAC. Is this a common fault I.e. what appears to be a good battery dying overnight? Nothing was left on in the car.

the fullfat is very heavy on the electronics and any battery around 3 years old might need changing..some have had the same battery for longer without any problems but generally its 3 'ish years..
if you do need a replacement ,maybe when the winter comes upon us ,then get a bosch/varta 020 110 amphrs/ 920cca from somewhere like ECP with a discount code... ... - .- -.

you'll find anything left on overnight in a FF will drain the battery lol. These things will happen Laughing you only really need to worry if the battery is not holding the charge or if the alternator once running is generating anything less than about 14v. But if both of those are fine then make sure your FSR is working ok.. Other than that most likely to be the kids leaving a light on Laughing Laughing Laughing Bushy

Or fit LED ones like a lot seem to do and they will drain less power and stick a 110ah battery in the front and a spare in the boot Wink FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

My Dad had tons of problems with his (non-Land Rover) mini-van. All the electronics were very good at keeping the engine sounding and starting well as the battery got worse and worst. It did cause just about every electric gizmo to malfunction though. Finally, the electronics reached their limit and the battery 'suddenly failed'.

The electronics do a great job, but they do make things more confusing.

I'm glad you got it sorted so easily. Keep the kids out the the FFRR, that's what the roof racks are for! Mr. Green
