Dear Range Rover-people

My name is Marius, and I live in the ridiculously expensive car-country Norway.
I have lately been looking to get me a L322. I currently have a BMW 525 and a 1981 Jaguar XJ6. I have owned a 1991 RRC before.
Problem in Norway is that cars are very very very expensive (the TDV8 cost 180.000£ in 2011). I tried a 2007 TDV8 yesterday, and that will sett me back 60-65.000£. Allthough wages are high in Norway, this is a lot of money of course.
I have also been looking for a 4.4 early L322, with the BMW-engine. My idea then would be to LPG-convert it, but Norway have passed the ECE 115-regulations, saying that the system must be type-approved for the RR V8. I am not sure what this means, and I was therefor wondering if anyone knew of a maker of LPG-systems that make them to fit within these regulations? Or had any experience with this?

What the import costs to Norway of a UK bought car of say £15k UK?

Because the car is heavy, have high CO2-emissions and a lot of horsepower it will probably be expensive. Probably a lot more than a norwegian used one. Not less, for certain.

The 4.4 BMW-ones from 2003-2004 kan be bought for around 20.000£. TD6 from 25.000 and up.

TDV8 is the way to go due to lower emissions.....

Find the oldest & cheapest TDV8 you can if importing....

Just worked out that a September 2006 TDV8 in great condition & low mileage is the cheapest to import

Yeah I would, but not looking to import at the moment (Looking to import a Z4. The RR will be my wintercar).

Was therefor first and foremost looking for a LPG-system that will meet the ECE 115-regulations to fit to the 4.4 petrol RR I`m looking to buy!

I kan see that Prins have a system that is R115-approved for the M62B44 engine in a X53 X5 4.4, or a BMW E39 540i.

Will this then be type approved for the Range Rover as well?

yes, have it on mine, BMW 4.4 Petrol, no other better, its LPGA approved too

Sounds like you need an LPI system minimum that then talks to the ECU.

Talk to the LPG supplier main offices in the Netherlands to know which system works with which car and meets the 115 reg, but look at buying the actual car from either Germany or Belgium (low taxes on cars relative to Holland and Norway). Then have the system installed by a really experienced supplier in Holland.

UK car you still have the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car for Norway  MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

I`m emailing all over the place, and hopefulle I`ll find a system.

Sidenote, how is the TD6-engine if you tune it?
