Service indication after 2950 miles

grrrr... Not happy.
Just started the FFRR and it displays "inspection 04/2013"
It was serviced 11 months and 2950 miles ago.
I thought it was based on driving and not time?? They have obviously set it to come on 12 months after its last service.
I have read/searched all permutations and can only find reset info on >2005 cars.
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to reset a 2006MY facelift model without visiting the dealer?
Does someone have kit that could do it for me?

Cheers. Previously..

Everywhere seems to say this procedure ….

With ignition turned off, press and hold LH instrument panel button. With button depressed, turn key to position I. Continue to hold for five seconds until "SIA reset" appears, then release the button. It will flash "reset SIA 3600 kms" and "Inspection". Press the button for another five seconds until "Reset" appears.

Switch the ignition off. ====================================

"Open Mike Night " sounded like a lot of fun until i found out i was going to an Autopsy

Its miles OR time.

Car should be serviced every 12 months if low mileage....

No matter what year it should be serviced at 12 month intervals ideally.

Find someone with a Faultmate with Multi Vehicle license that is not too far away. I can reset my service indicators AND fiddle with them Smile MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
