Center air vent unit problem

Hi guys, my top double air vent on the dash is not clicking home correctly. When i bought the car it was hanging off slightly and it has gradually got worse. The top is clicked in correctly but the bottom is hanging out about 1 cm. I can't push the bottom in enough to click shut. It feels as if it won't push home properly, as if something behind vent is stopping from clicking home. Or the bits on the vent are broken at the bottom where it clicks on.
Is this easy enough to fix if I can get another vent unit. Is it just the hazard on the other button (sorry can't remember what) that need disconnected ready for the new vent, thanks in advance.

If you run a search on here i think there is a common issue regarding a little clip that holds one of the adjusters (possibly a cable, im not sure as i haven't personally had one apart yet.)
