Because the original engine completely turned into scrap metal due to minimal oil changing, no running up to temperature and short distances by the previous owner of the car.....Lucky me! |

Have you considered to do an engine rebuild. I can check with one of my friends in Holland who has a garage in Ridderkerk for a good engine rebuilder ?? That way you know you are buying a good engine iso a potentially fooked one. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Just goes to prove what many on here have said before - this preoccupation with low mileage as a prerequisite to buy just doesn't make sense! Am looking fwd to mine hitting 200,000 in a few years' time! |

I have considered that but my garageholder says this will cost lots of material and labour. Total costs probably will even exceed the costs of placing an original (LR guaranteed) engine + costs for placing that (8,000 + 2,000 = 10.000). Unfortunately..... |

Mmmmmm I can see a bit of work removing the engine and putting it back but you have that anyway.
