Thanks for the replys
The sat nav is hard drive based and when I phoned the dealer he says it was an option not fitted to my car. just wondering if there is a plug and play option. Not that i'm that concerned its only the wife who will be watching. Laughing

Thinks mines the same , i have dvd button , but cannot find anywhere to put a dvd. Also , if this is the case where do you put the update to the sat nav ?

I have heard that unless you have the rear entertainment system you do not have the Dvd in the boot , is this correct ?

Bit silly really i have Tv and Dvd button but not the facility to watch a DVD.

Do either of you have RSE? As with previous models a DVD player was only fitted for the RSE... Whistle

Have you looked at the manual ?? Maybe the DVD is supposed to go into the CD/DVD changer ???? Or does the manual show a DVD player in the back outside the RSE system ?? MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

From memory the manual does not show where to put a DVD , i m sure it said something about not putting a DVD in the glove box changer , which of course makes sense. Ill have another look at the manual but im sure it shows very little regarding playing dvd's.

Looked in boot left side and there is no DVD player where the manual says it should be theres just a space with an empty cradle so looks like ill have a chat with stealer to see what options are available

You won't get anywhere with the stealer! No rear screens or 6 disc dvd changer in the rear near side compartment means no dvd option on the front screen. It's all part of the over priced factory fitted Rear Screen Entertainment system!

It can be retrofitted but I suggest you read my write up from the D3 forum to give you an idea of what's involved!

As for upgrading the Nav maps on the hard drive this can only be done by the dealer at vast expense! They download the latest map data to your hard drive and then activate it by purchasing a code from the suppliers!
