Ive joined another clique.

I think I just joined another RR L322 clique.
Last year it was the TD6 gearbox rebuild clique followed shortly by the Transfer Box motor clique.
This year I am now a member of the front diff clique.
It went today making loud banging noises though still driveable slowly.
The diff was very hot to touch.
I also noticed dsc light kept coming on, wheels fighting each other round corners like a locked diff and various other noises or odd feelings from the front.
We where very fortunate it went in a place that cell phone coverage as we had been in some amazing country with no communication for last 2 1/2 days.
Ah well getting it trailered back home and will see what falls out.
Oh and it has had the C/V inpout shaft conversion done.

Where there any early symptoms before the dsc light. Any whining or unusual behaviour?

When was the fluid last changed?

It might be an idea to clean out the rear diff as well as your climate will make the fluids get very hot and towards the top end of their temp rating Sad

Hi guys
I changed the oils February 2012 about 30000km ago.
Looking back after reading other people's experiences it suffered a bit of drive train shunt for a while and over the last 2 weeks had what sounded like wheel bearing rumble. I did have dsc light on when cornering fast on dirt roads but put this down to lack of traction.
Do these diffs share components with any others vehicles.

Thanks
