Voice recognition

I have a MY2012 RR Vogue and find the voice recognition deplorable. If I put on my best yankee twang I can get it to do the basics but it doesn't seem to understand anything I say.

Is there a learn option or upgrade or any sort of fix. In comparison to other manufacturers LR are miles behind in this sort of thing. My wife's basic ford fiesta has better voice recognitiion and can even pick things from her contact list on her phone by bluetooth. no need to record or preset.

LR wake up! This just aint good enough and certainly not for Range Rover. I'm lead to believe the new one isn't any better. Shameful!! I'm telling Clarkson. Confused

I noticed that your location is Aberdeen, but I'll leave the obvious gag alone! Wink

Seriously though, the voice recognition is rubbish.

Mine actually does what I want it to about 1 out of every 5 or 6 attempts. Banging Head

Personally I think it's a waste of time and I almost never use it. Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

The only phrase it accepts is "see deee"

Either plays a disc, or navigates me to a lapdancing club

The only thing i use it for is to turn the display off.

It now does that first time every time, because i have learnt to parrot the lady who announces it back to me. Shocked There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Anyone know if there is a command to trigger shuffle on the CD changer?

Still pretty much a useless gimick though imho.

Had it in 5series and it was rubbish in that two. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Never even tried it as I have little faith in the blasted things, plus my Dutch accent has become very strong recently I am told (speaking Dutch to the youngest one a lot as well as quite a few of my co-workers here are Dutch, horrible !!).

Maybe I should give it a try and see what happens, I may find a lapdancing joint here Twisted Evil MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!
