4.4 TDV8 Question

Can someone please answer this for me.

When was the first 4.4 TDV8 released and did it have a proper gear stick.
If it did when did they change it to the dial.

Only asking because thats what i want next and need to keep my eyes open for the right one.

Thanks chaps

It's a nasty nasty thing Sad

Afraid all 4.4's came with the dial. If you want a stick then its a 3.6 you'll be looking for Smile FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I drove a 4.4 TDV8 on a LR experience day. I liked the dial. It was really easy to use. Thanks for the tip, I know what to look for when the prices come down! 1998 RR 4.6 HSE lpg

You rub your stick and I'll tweak my dial Very Happy

Seriously, I got used to it very quickly and it does give a bit of clearance to the centre console. It wouldn't put me off buying the right car.... Whistle Current MY2020

Any L322 you see with the shift dial is a 4.4TDV8. It has not been offered with any other engine choice.
