Anyone watching it tonight?

Question - maybe they are rarer nowadays but would you REALLY pay £4500 for a MK 1 escort in brown with non standard engine??? Ash

Scotland 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Oslo Blue

I had the pleasure of owning a MK1 RS 2000 in the 70s & it was an awesome car, very much the Subaru or EVO of its day. You could steer the car on the throttle with no trouble at all. Add to this that I grew up on a farm with a disused WW11 airfield (Heathfield & some of it became Prestwick) & we could play all day long with the car. Such happy memories for me.
I feel that the price they paid for the brown MK1 was about right as the shell was solid, but it really was a hotch pot of parts & trim. The Daytona yellow was very popular in its day but it never lit my fire. Mine was pale blue with the darker blue go faster RS2000 stripes along the side ,bonnet & bootlid, now try finding one of those for under £30K & you'd be lucky.
Oh BTW I sold mine to a mate who promptly rolled it> Big Cry The reason women's minds are cleaner than a mans mind is that women change their minds more often!
When women say fine a mans in deep doodoo as fine has so many meanings.

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver

I had a friend back in the late 80's with a MK1 RS2000. Loads of very enjoyable trips in that along the Kent backroads. It was no slouch even up against modern machinery if driven properly and handled far better than most.

I got to drive it occasionally. It felt so secure and solid (at the time) and was so much fun!

When it was sold (£4,000 back in '89 if I recall) I really wanted to buy it, but I was a student back then and far too sensible. A true regret.

Luckily an enthuisiast bought it and I often wonder whenever I see an 'N'-plate RS2000 if that's the one. Si. <This is my name.

I eat rat poison.

A man ain't truly been insulted until he stands buck naked in front of a woman and she didn't even notice. Or care.
