Removing - Front seat mounted armrest

Does the thing just split to give access to some sort of securing bolt or is there some other magic. Mine needs the cover resticking as i have noticed some of the leather is peeling back on the drivers side.

I've done a search but didn't find what I wanted - so Im asking Neutral Geoff

I would guess that it is bolted from inside the seat Geoff. The back of the seat unclips relatively easily (or at least the chap who repaired the screens in my rear headrests made it look easy) and I would imagine that you should be able to access the bolt from there...

Only a guess though...

Remember to do the bolts back up after you replace it though Twisted Evil

In here Craig describes how to remove the backrest, it worked for me and was quick. Didn't solve my lumber problem but still Smile

It's an absolute pain in the arse to remove!

There is a torx grommet screw holding it on. I had to pry a space to get the tool in to unscrew the thing. Once it's out the arm just slides off.
