Fault code 0625 unknown error

Hi, just arrived lake District after lovely 250 mile drive. Stopped to look at waterfall, on restart the battery light stayed lit. Got to hotel and reset using iidtool but immediately returned. Light remains lit all the time.
Battery is bosch s5, just a few months old.
The error is given in the pcm engine ecu.
Any ideas of cause? Will it be safe to continue to drive?
Appreciate any help or advice.
Thanks David

Check that the alternator drive belt is ok and hasn't dropped off! Otherwise, battery light staying on says alternator problem to me.

Thanks. What are my options? Will car take me places, and 250 miles back home?
If I don't use lights, ac, heating etc?

I guess I need to get it fixed locally. Does anyone know of a garage in Lake District who may be able replace my alternator on a Saturday morning?
Ruins the birthday weekend trip for my better half, but can't be helped I guess.
Thanks again for any advice.

The Battery light actually indicates a failure in the charging circuit, check the alternator drive belt (for damage and tension) and the terminals on it and the battery, if the belt etc are ok then the brushes in your alternator have failed and it's most likely gonna need recovered or a local technician. '55 Java Black Vogue

Thanks for your diagnosis!
All confirmed by recovery on Saturday and again today by my LR indy just down the road.
Will be fitted tomorrow all being well.

Hotel owner was fantastic - lent us one of his beaters cars (shooting/fishing hotel) so my better half got to see the lakes after all Smile

Thanks again
