Hi, just arrived lake District after lovely 250 mile drive. Stopped to look at waterfall, on restart the battery light stayed lit. Got to hotel and reset using iidtool but immediately returned. Light remains lit all the time.

Check that the alternator drive belt is ok and hasn't dropped off! Otherwise, battery light staying on says alternator problem to me. |

Thanks. What are my options? Will car take me places, and 250 miles back home?

I guess I need to get it fixed locally. Does anyone know of a garage in Lake District who may be able replace my alternator on a Saturday morning?
