I'm a little disappointed with them to be honest (the wheels). They were described as "very good condition with no curb marks". However, the faces of the spokes have light scratches to them, like a sharp brush has been used to clean them. I've buffed most of them out with a little T cut and elbow grease, but there are still one or two stubborn ones.
There is a curb mark on one of them as well although it's not glaringly obvious.
The seller stated 3mm of tread, so I should have been a bit more careful here. Three of them are nearly on the wear bars so I'll get a couple of hundred miles at best.
Not overly happy, but for £299, I suppose I couldn't expect new wheels and tyres. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

not as described?

sales of goods act???

even private sales have to be as described, not suggesting you send them back - but lever a bit of cash back might make you feel a bit better...

plus its not the done thing thing to put one over on a member of HM Constabulary is it! Thumbs Up

i.e. use your position Noddy Wink

I did email him about the wheels and his reply was that I'd had a bargain, but if I was unhappy, to send them back for a full refund. Trouble is, I'll lose £90 in delivery costs if I do that.

I can get tyres at cost anyway and also very good quality part worns, so that's not an issue. Might have to leave appropriate feedback for him regarding his "description".

Is £299 a decent price for wheels and (worn) tyres? I see all kinds of prices for these 7 spokes on eBay. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

It's not a bad price to be honest.

I sold my RR Sport Stormer wheels - and they are mint, refurbished 10 miles ago! and tyres have genuine 7.5mm tread for 540 on ebay yesterday. FFRR TD6 06MY. Cairns Blue, Blue Hide. LR 7 Spoke 20" Wheels, S/C Grill and Vents. Privacy Glass and Side Steps

Just wait until after the winter and get them refurbed...

Not overly expensive and you'll have mint wheels to look after then. TDV8 HST Sport **Current**

You can by them new from a dealer via ebay for 750 plus postage. Tyres alone can be anything from £170 a corner so all in all, not too bad, but I know how you feel. When I sold my last set of wheels the faces of them WERE immaculate and I always describe things accurately, otherwise people leave poor feedback.

If they are the same as mine on my Vogue SE, then I reckon they are the nicest wheels, they're simple, clean looking and suit the stance and size of the FFRR. Discovery 4 HSE
