Who has had any bushes replaced?

As Stratstone Nottingham have got my car for a full week next week, I've asked them to take a look at the suspension and steering bushes and report back on their condition.

Now I know this is tantamount to asking them to fleece me, but they've always been pretty honest about stuff like this.

So, have your dealers ever proactively told you when bushes are on the way out or is this something that is generally ignored?

Mine has now done 92,000 miles so I'm interested to know if it can be tightened up a bit, as when you drive it day in day out you don't notice the gradual decline in handling etc. Discovery 4 HSE

Have you had any replaced before? I have had two new ball joints on mine at 50k. On last service they said that there was some slight play in the drop link bushes I think that was at 58k. I'm going to get my bushes inspected also at next service. Present :2008 TDV8 HSE

Ive not had anything replaced ever, and theres no clunks etc that I can detect. Maybe I am just used to it now.

I'm sure it probably wallows a bit more than it should.

We shall see what they report back. They know me well enough not to take me for a fool. Discovery 4 HSE
