My car currently has the 19" 6 spoke standard alloys fitted but iv just bought a set of 20" 7 spoke alloysnow iv read that later alloys need differen nuts but the 20" alloys were fitted to early models but iv also seen them on later facelift cars? Mine is a 2003?

Its not the size of the alloy that matters its the type.

If the alloys were fitted to a 2006+ model as standard or optional extra then they will need new nuts for yours.

I think the 7 spoke were fitted on pre and post facelifts?

I have those wheels, using normal '02-'05 nuts with them. .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember

The wheels were an origional fitment on a 54 plate so are pre facelift nuts. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone
2005 4.4V8 (M62) Bonatti Grey/ Parchment interior - gone
1998 4.6HSE Blue/ Cream interior (can't remember exact colours) - gone
1977 White - gone (should have kept)

afaik there are 2 types of 20'' 7 spokes, ones with little holes right by the nut holes and these take the smaller nuts and the type with dimples by the nut holes and these take the larger nuts ... ... - .- -.
