Thanks.
Oh yes, a RR here is expensive. But, what can I do about it....... Big Cry
I am off to the dealer today, to ask around for a longer warranty and a longer test drive.

Can't think of a better car to own. My advice is: get as new a car as your budget allows you to...! Very Happy '01 1.8i Freelander. Grey/ grey

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

Mine has not been the most reliable but since we also have a far more unreliable Toyota Landcruiser, what can you say about statistics Smile

I spent about 2000 Euro on "non-maintenance" work. The AC (although in hindsight it may not have been gone), the transmission cooler (the problem currently being resolved), the rear brake calipers (cheap to resolve) and some other things that I don't see as normal maintenance.

The other 3000 Euro (in 2 1/2 years of ownership) were all maintenance related, and I include the two front struts due to the airbags leaking. These bags seem to last about 7 to 8 years.

My suggestion is, have a very very very good look at the car, its history and the internet (this forum, rangerovers.net) for the "critical" items and check those even more carefully. And for the rest, just hope you are lucky in the years of ownership Wink MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Crikey, I'm thinking about upgrading my early 4.4 V8 to a supercharged, but after reading glidemans post Im thinking I got lucky with my RR.... Think I might just keep it!
