There are many many posts about the dreaded Land Rover logo screen and the issues with the MOST cabling so I won't ask again.

I had mine repaired last September - the garage told me it was a faulty power amplifier - but it failed again in January. Bouyed by the useful posts on here I decided to take a look in the L/H space on my FFRR 2006 Td6 and found that the main input connector on the MOST cable was wet, as were the cables around it. I've taken the MOST off to dry it but is there any way I can protect these cables from getting wet again in future (apart from dismantling the car to find where the water ingress is coming from)? Would wrapping in something like cling film overcome the problem?

Land Rover sell such a cover - I put one in mine. Can't remember the exact name or part no., but Dan at Duckworth's will know -

It is just a simple cover made from see through plastic. Have a look at some photos and you can make it yourself or spend a few quid getting it from Dan. After drying out all connectors, have you used some connector cleaner as well, it may help in getting any residual corrosion out as well. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

The cover is called a water shedder

Check your boot rubber (the bit your tailgate closes on) I bet you the top left corner has expanded where it pushes onto the boot opening lip... We change hundreds of them and is often the route cause on your model/age...

Thank you once again for the excellent advice which I will duly follow.

I was so excited about finding a possible solution to the LR logo issue that I could be found at my kitchen table at 4:00am today inserting the ends of the MOST cable for the Nokia module into the ends of a straw (advice courtesy of ffrr of course) and taping them up with the aid of a bamboo skewer for support.

I had to wait until 8:00am to test the fix and was duly rewarded with both sat nav and cd/radio in full working order which made today's 4-hour journey along the M4/M25 all the more pleasurable. And all thanks to ffrr and its incredibly helpful members.

I'm now going to pester Wiggs for a telephone mobile upgrade to replace the Nokia and have already contacted Duckworths about the 'water shedder' (the name of which I discovered on another thread at around 4:30am).
