Suspension seems slower to raise after changing front struts

Now it may just be my imagination but since changing the suspension last weekend the car seems to take longer to stop flashing when rising. It may be due to the cold weather and I didn;t notice it before or it may be that the new airbags need time to "settle in" or it may be something else.

Is there a set amount of time it should take to rise from access height to standard..

Actually this may be a silly question seeing as I also lowered the access height by 15 - 20mm..!!! Shocked

Am I just stupid... is it obvious that it needs to put more air in now that it has to raise further.?

I think I answered it myself...... I assume it wont do any damage by running the compressor for longer nowadays..

EDIT - Ignore my ramblings (unless you think there is a different issue) Very Happy Ash

check the connections Ash, there might be a leak..new rubber might be stiffer so the compressor will have to work just a little harder, or your 'lowering' could be affecting the inflation duration.. ... - .- -.

Thanks Stan - The problem is to check the connection (ie air line to the bag) it means taking the whole lot out again doesn't it.?

That's a pain. Should I pump it up to off road, measure it (arch to rim), leave it over night and check again.? Ash

you could probably hear any leaks , a slight hissing would point in the right direction..

certainly a series of access to off road might settle the system.. ... - .- -.
