i think its my webasto heater but the noise it getting worse like a noisy vibrating fan it comes on and off for a second or two, the noise is from under the passenger floor well / bulkhead anyone else getting this noise it seems worse in the morning or when the car is cold

anyone got ideas for a fix or had it happen to them ?

Not sure as I've not had it myself. But, you're in the right area for the FBH as it's located under the battery tray at the back of the NSF wheel arch.

In that location and at those times it's most definitely the FBH. It never sounds smooth or puuurrrdy, it just sounds like sounding grinding itself up into bits!

The grinding itself to bits noise i had has now stopped thanks to a new fbh. it was coming from the diverter valve on the bulkhead behind the engine. Though that was where the problem lay, but apparently no, was the ECU/heater itself as they replaced the lot on warranty. Oh joy cos it was over £1500.

Runs smooth now and sounds like a small jet engine firing up. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
