I am stopping at The Pond Glasgow next tuesday night (need to be near there early on wednesday so it serves a purpose). Last time I ate there but was not impressed so can anybody recommend somewhere close by to eat that is a half decent restaurant. 2010 3.6TDV8 Stornoway Grey/ Black interior - gone

The Partners Italian Bistro, its at the traffic light junction just as you turn off the A82 into the Pond, its excellent. Alternatively, if you fancy a top quality Indian take a drive towards the town and head to Mother India on Westminister Terrace, you wont be disappointed (though dont mistake it for Mother India's Cafe just down the road), Butter Chicken recommended .

At the top of Sauchiehall Street there's a lovely restaurant called The Butchers Shop.

Amazing steaks and a great atmosphere.

No problem Drakes, trust you enjoyed! much better than the processed food in the hotel, and a fine selection of quality reds!
