Scissor jack rubber strap

Has anyone come up with a replacement other than buying a new one? I feel it will just snap again as they are pants.
I thought a small bungee might do. Has anyone used something else?

I have a merc van bottle jack after reading about converting them for FFRR use on this forum, it's a brilliant jack.
But a bottle jack does not fit under when you have a flat and the suspension lowers itself!! I am glad I kept the scissor jack as well or I would still be stuck! Previously..

Mine broke too.

I used two cable ties to fix it in place, and have a pair of scissors (and some spare cable ties) in the toolkit .

^ of course... Seeeeemples. It's not as if it has to be used regularly, so cable ties should do nicely. Thumbs Up Previously..

In fact ( I would have to go and look to confirm ) I may have simply made a loop with the cable ties to "clip" over the jack and the mounting holding it in place and easy to remove and refit (without scissors!) if needed. .

not really John there's plenty of room in the back, and these items could come in handy for a roadside repair possibly.. ... - .- -.

and the majority of us on the forum agree with Gary's statement but, the scissor jack is handy to 'lift' the range so that you can stick a bottle jack under it...

or if funds allow ,get some kind of breakdown cover.. ... - .- -.

United Kingdom 2016 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Santorini Black

at the moment I have a 1.5t bottle jack, scissor jack and a a 3t high lift trolley in the boot.

I feel that this may be overkill somewhat......... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

I am in the AA.. But who wants to hang around for possibly a few hours just to change a wheel!!
My puncture on Friday night proved that when you have a flat and the suspension lowers itself a scissor jack is the only thing that will fit under. Previously..
