Real world miles per tank

Hi there I have been loitering around for a while but only just joined.

I am selling my Defender Puma and RS4 and wanting to get a FFRR - just totally hung up on what liquid will be powering it Smile

I have read loads of posts on here about mpgs, but was wondering what mileage out of each tank people get from the TDV8, Supercharged and 4.4 AV-V8? Whereas I am used to bad mpg I am not sure of the Supercharged is just a little too scary - but then it's the 2007+ Supercharged that I'm hankering after.

Many thanks for any responses Very Happy Thumbs Up

I have considered it but I had a 4.6 P38 with LPG and it caused more stress and problems than I've ever encountered with a car before Big Cry

To be fair JohnnyDangerous it was a very old system certainly wasn't multipoint - not even sure it was single point!

Thanks Stan - that's exactly what my head says but my wallet is edging on the side of caution

400 miles from a TDv8? I was getting over 500-550 in a TD6 so it must be the same or more form a V8 surely?

all depends on what driving you'll be doing.

But if you do say 10K a year, average driving Iwould budget on about £700 a year extra fuel on petrol v diesel. About an extra £13 to £15 a week.

I do a lot of town driving, so my 4.4 TDV8 is only doing about 380 to 400 miles per tank. On a good run (50, 60 + mph) I can get closer to 500

No 400ish is about right for mine too.

Although around town and up the hills a bit less.
