I own a 2006 TD6 hse, i have just recently installed a Vortex Ecoflow exhaust and straight through stainless steel exhaust, as the stats they show claim dramatic savings on feul and increased performance, now like many on here im not a boy racer so not wanting it to sound like a saxo on steriods they assured me that there would be very little change to the note. now being a tad sceptical about its claims i was astounded by the overall change in my car, 1 the take off speed is amazing no turbo lag atall and when crusing the lift off again had no delay, but! i drive most weeks froms Bristol to Reading and the feul saving is brilliant i have a photo my trip and will post asap that shows the improvement at around 85mph my usage was running at 18/19 mpg its now 21mpg at a constant 90 and the fuel used is way less than normal i will check the overall savings by the end of this current tank, i was wondering if anyone else had had one of these fitted as i have seen no details of anyone else having one as i wondered , have you had the same experiance from just changing the exhaust?

i dont think anyone has changed the exhaust ,might be wrong though..

21mpg is about right for 90mph so i dont think your new exhaust has helped that much...

I've had a few aftermarket exhausts fitted to Land Rover products (not a FFRR, though) and whilst I've experienced improvements in their noise and looks, I can't honestly claim any fuel economy changes.

From my own experience, any economy changes will be most noticeable if you have a change of headers as that can often be where there's most restriction. Si. <This is my name.
