As it says really - ever since I sold the SIII a couple of years back, I've hankered after another, and having just lost out on a V8 90 I was bidding on, the search is now properly on.

Don't mind a bit of work as long as it's nothing terminal. I'm in Kent - distance not necessarily a dealbreaker but I'm not really up for a 600 mile round trip either!

But I'm looking at the lower end of what a V8 90 would fetch, going on completed sales on eBay and bearing in mind that I don't mind doing some work (but not, say, a chassis or bulkhead swap). There are one or two interesting ones on there just now, but they're all a fair trek away. See items eBay Item No. 330858376018 and eBay Item No. 150980681803 for example.

The one I "lost" was 10 miles from home and taking everything into account, I bid a good 25% over where I wanted to be but was still outbid - I guess the snow factor did that. The seller told me tonight that it sold for more than he paid for it 6 years ago, and 6 years ago it didn't need a new rear crossmember before it'll get an MOT like it does now! Have told him I'm still in if his sale collapses.

What about a Santana? Ours if fab Maybe cheaper for you too?
