Check your insurance policy covers stored wheels/tyres!

As some of you may have read, I had my Summer wheels and tyres stolen yesterday from my garage, and neither my home insurance, no car insurance will pay out. The contents insurance won't pay as they have a specific exclusion relating to vehicle parts (M+S i.e. Axa) and the car insurance won't pay as the wheels weren't on the car.

I've done a bit of checking and there don't seem to be any companies covering stored vehicle parts as standard, so there are a lot of wheels and tyres out there which are not insured, and are never likely to be so!

JUST A WARNING!
