Hello mate, I'm in the exact same position as you and haven't got it sorted yet.
Do you know how to get to the motor to get the spindle out?
Iv'e tried going in through the footwell but can't get access to it.

Thanks.

It can be done, Uli describes it as having to remove 2 screws but something gets lost in Translation, these new nuts are going to be 30 euros a piece, is that Ok with everyone? One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

Its just a nylon square nut with the correct thread tapped in it! Im still considering making these in ally, if I can get a nut to copy and motor I may well do that and its no problem to knock off 10-15-20 I may even sell some on the bay. The problem is im in a bad way physically at the moment so was trying to avoid doing this if poss. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

If got a complete assembly of a column motor nut etc if u wanna borrow it to do a mock up and make some spares

The 2 screws uli is talking about hold the threaded bar in position there 2 torch screws nothing to do with the actual nut

If I make some Im quite happy to let members have them at cost, cant see it being more than a few £££ Problem will be if its not a standard thread ie like a screw type in a compressor but im told its a pretty standard thread size. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!
