Supercharged engine cover

How does one get it off!!

Undone two nuts at front and removed the oil filler cap, but it does not want to come off and seems to trapped between whatever is underneath it at the back and the sound insulation above it on the bulkhead.

New Zealand 2010 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Galway Green

I had the same thing when I tried to get it off the first time. Nearly ripped it off with brute force. Anyway, it is a long time ago that I took it out, so I can't remember exactly but there are some additional nuts, 2 I think, around the back I believe.

I may have found a post on here or on the net that describes it better. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

Found it, you need to take the cabin filter unit out (two nuts on the firewall) first and then you can get to the second set of cover bolts. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The intake plenum has to come off (from memory 2x 13mm nuts front facing, 1 either side) whole thing lifts out forwards then there are two more 10mm bolts holding the cover on. Plenty more space once the intake is off.

For once quite clever design from LR.

Hope this helps. Thumbs Up
