Audio upgrade std -03 Vogue to JL audio C5 3way

Hi Guys
Iam about to upgrade the speakers in the -03 Vogue .
I have upgrades some other cars, but non as fat as the RR.
Iw purchased the JL Audio C5 3way system which shall replace the front door speakers.

Can anyone plz tell me what size the original speakers have (diamenter)(iam to lazy to check this before i do the swap ).

Is the audio filter intergraded into the orignial amplifier box or will a find a 3way filter in the door that can we changed with the New corresponding JL Audio filter.

Iam searcing eBay for speakers in The rear door and to The center at The front wondow. I dont wont to detasch The panels an extra time just to find Out The size. If someone could tell me The size icould find The right size to purchase.

heres a rear door speaker on ebay,its the mounting bracket on the speaker that causes the problem, when trying to replace the fronts on my freinds car we could not get any thing to fit direct

Hey Thx man.
Thats good to know... Sow iam in need off some custom speaker spacers.
I supose the tweeter wont give me much problem with the orignial housing.

Anyway its not that the original audio setup is that crappy compared with same year car models. But they dont give you a full fatt smile on your face. And thats what iam after. This migth give some houres off pain first but ill have to give it a shot.

As long as i can use the heated garage at work its a nice puzzel anyway. Jus have to remember to bring my gettoblaster for music while working.

Before/whilst you are doing the speakers, I'd strongly suggest upgrading your amp. There is a member on here called Baris who can replace the amp inside your existing unit with one from a later BMW. It has twice the power and really sorts the existing system.

From doing this myself, I'd guess that whilst the standard speakers are not brilliant, they are not the weak link.

Futher on I have planed to remove the org sub, and use the space for a monoblock that will power the JL Sub.
The BM54 amp can give up to 45 w pr ch, which is ok, sow i will let it power the door speakers for the time being.

I currently have the mkIv satnat and i will continue to use it, but connected with the phone. This way you get the most out off your speakers if playing .flac music files. That realy does the difference, and are the poor mans choice for a brilliant music source.

Hi mate.

There is a good increase in sound quality from the BM54 amp upgrade, not just power.
