Evening Guys

My 56 plate tdv8 is dispalying "coolant level low" ive googled it and a few say its a common problem due to coolant ingress in to the float and weighing it down and tricking it into believing its low and showing a warning , Anybody else had this ??

I've had 2 ''coolant low'' messages in 2 1/2 years of ownership and both times it was in reality low.

Never thought it could be a problem. Both times refilled and no probs for a long time.

Ive checked it when hot and cold on more than opne occasion and its spot on !! So i think it could be a fault !

When we had the very cold weather recently i had to top up the coolant twice.

Unsure whether it was too dliuted the mixture and some froze or what but it seems fine now.

The 4.4 V8 in Audi's uses coolant, Audi claim this is as its a big engine and needs alot of cooling.

Maybe the FFRR is the same? TDV8 HST Sport **Current**
