You should be able to remove the drain plug and fit a new one

I never use the rad drain plug. Easyier to just pull the small transmission hose off. Sounds like you have an air lock in the system. You need to have the heater controls set to full heat when doing it. The coolant system is a pain to bleed but just take your time. If the car starts to heat up shut it down and wait a bit. Not worth launching the engine over waiting a bit longer. [img]http://www.fuelly.com/driver/rob2529/range-rover[img/]

Thanks Rob. If the rain holds off (doubtful, I know) I'll give it a go this afternoon. |
