Thought we had this sorted but just had to use the FF and they have come on again as follows, start car and it displays HDC inactive and the abs light and brake warning light both glow yellow, the warning triangle is also lit yellow, air suspension working, as soon as the car moves ais suspension inactive comes up and the hold light on the height adjuster illuminates, the brake warning also changes to red.

This sounds like the aftermath of a battery disconnection.

I know what you mean re the HDC but how about the EAS inactive that only come on when it moves, We changed about a year ago FRH ABS sensor and RLH ABS sensor, I bought 2 more but apparently the sensors are working fine so they never got fitted. We also had to put a new end on the loom to the ABS pump after a hose burst, this was a LR part and sold as a repair kit as the original used to let water in the loom apparently. Hopefully one of my lads will pop round later with the verdict and I can record voltages and fault codes etc but it seems speed related as far as the EAS goes, I may put the new ABS sensors on that way they should all be new, after that its cheapest parts first, height sensors, battery abs ecu (unless I can borrow one to try) One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

The only other thing I can think of is that when it starts the voltage really dips and puts the lights on but it does not struggle to start at all. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!

It's got to be something along those lines, mine pings on as the ignition is turned to the 2nd click and as the glow plug pre warm is running. As soon as the ignition is cranked everything is back to normal. |

Ok just went out and checked bat voltage using the on board diagnostics and when I got in the car which was last driven yesterday it was 11.4, after running it for a few mins and switching off it was 11.8, seems the bat that has been in there 2 years almost is now pretty goosed, I think first move is change batteries as logically this fault has occured without the car turning a wheel so it can really only be electrical. On a side note the onboard diagnostic and fault clear function will not clear this fault. Have you checked the battery voltage with the engine running at about 2000rpm? |

Im stuck at home pretty much confined to the couch with broken bones and other stuff from my bike crash, hoping someone comes down with our verdict diagnostic machine later. One day your life will flash before your eyes......................................make sure yours is worth watching!
