The torx head bolts will no doubt round off with rust, so you'll need alternative means of removing. They can be slightly taxing to remove... |

I did both mine chiseled the sh£t out of them and got heat on them did them on the car and took about couple of hours each one but once you start chiseling your at the point of no return they have to come out then and they will but they are hard work as for refit i used a drill with an attachment a worn sanding disk that fitted the hole perfect so just run it up down the hole to clean out the rust i used a lot of copper grease to refit and they pretty much slid in i believe i didnt use oem parts they were blue box parts but there were no problems with them and it made a big difference onto no6 Range Rover

Torx bolts will be a pig of a job to come out, buy new ones before starting the work. Use something like the Irwin bolt remover to remove the torx

Thanks for the replies, i was hoping if i used plenty of Plus-Gas all would come loose, but looks like it could be a lot of hammering...........there's not a huge amount of access to get a hammer and chisel in on the top of the ball joint but will take a look.........i have the parts all genuine including the torx bolts and my indy landrover place quoted £179 labour to do both sides which is starting to sound tempting |
