can anyone tell me if there's an easy way of tightening the 3 screws that hold the exterior mirror assembly to the door or does the door card have to come off.. ... - .- -.

Door card off I think as the cover goes deeper than the door card covers.

done mine this afternoon and you do have to take the card off, but just enough to release the trim where the mirror bolts are .. ... - .- -.

Did it work?? mine is slightly loose when driving and does a extra click when folding in |

yes indeed ,although because two of the existing torque bolt heads were chewed up [?] i had to take them out and replace with normal bolts.. ... - .- -.
