2008 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Java Black
:censored: right off

I'll make this quick.

Booked the RR into the dealers to get a new FBH fitted as mine "cries" when cold and asked them to listen for a "rattling sound" from the engine bay.

To add insult to injury I have had the pleasure of a '57 1.2 Corsa since Wednesday while they worked out what it was and changed the FBH.

Turns out it's the oil pump and they will need the car for a WEEK to change it and the engine needs to come out.

Censored ing Censored unt

I'm at the end of my patience now and I'm in two minds as to keeping it any longer as it seems to spend 20% of its time in LR dealers Sad '09 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto for the Mrs

I would wonder if it is actually the oil pump, I would be interested to hear if the problem goes away after they swap it out. Do report back!

bad news, really bad news - you have my sympathy.

Hope the engine hasn't been starved of oil - seen this on a few large tractors. Goosed oil pump not pumping oil to pressure - result = 1 knackered but still running engine. It didn't stop there either... turbo bearings...

Censored , really sorry mate.

Which dealer gave you a corsa? Did you get a free Burberry cap?

Chin up, hope it gets sorted... Can't believe they need a week to do it, they must get their tools at netto!

It's booked in for the 22nd of FEB Rolling Eyes

I had a call from one of my friends who is a car broker a few days ago asking if I'd part with it and at the moment I'm very tempted.

I would call LR UK and register your concerns about further engine/ Turbo damage, they may instruct the dealer to give you a landy to prevent further damage.....

It seems to be working fine it just has a slight rattle, I asked what if it goes bang in the mean time and they said they/LR would honour it.
