Not a Vogue SE as the model didn't exist in '82!

. . . I prefer this one -

But you can't get away from the fact the value of early original cars is increasing . . . .

Thumbs Up Where do you go after one of these . . . ?

"in Vogue", second limited edition of the precursor to the Vogue as a standard trim level, and the first factory automatic Range Rover.

The '82 model is an increasingly rare beast in that condition, so maybe the price is partly justified due to the mileage, condition and being one of the first 'luxury' RR's? And it's factory original and not restored or changed in any way.

Where would one find another like it these days?

The second... 300Tdi soft-dash. I always believe a RR should have a V8 and never felt the 300Tdi suited the RR's character. I'm also no fan of the later dash, although 300Tdi soft-dash models in excellent condition are also very rare these days. Si. <This is my name.

I think the seller's deluded quite frankly. It's not a pre-production 2 door Velar or anything so special. What it is is something unremarkable from 1982 that simply hasn't seen much use.

Would a Ford Cortina or Morris Marina of the same age and condition fetch 27 large? No, neither will that. 10k at best, and there are precious few who would even spend that on something you can't use without destroying its value. Probably the worst colour combination too.

That kind of cash would get you a very useable Ferrari 456, a very good E-Type or plenty of other nice useable exotica........

or THAT feck. Rolling with laughter
