Impressive, but a wee bit stupid as well. Good to know in an emergency it is more than capable of doing that. Too deep even for a bow wave! Previously..

Excellent video. Not sure what the Rozzers are on about, and TBH, neither do they know judging from their usual BS comments. Anyone who knows Defenders knows that they can be kitted out to do exactly that, as indeed the Armed Forces do when they drive ashore off the landing craft.

I'd have done the same thing in that position. Thumbs Up

Has to have been fitted with a snorkel to do that. Way above the normal air intakes. Thumbs Up

If he has any sense he would join the Youtube scheme where you get paid for advertisements put before your video, he is gonna get a shed-load of views thanks to the BBC.

(Wonder if the BBC News website has asked permission to use his video)

Typical of the BBC to 4x4 bash...

On many a weekend throughout the UK (world?) Land Rovers will be doing just what that video clip shows.

bit beyond FFRR levels imho, I had to negotiate a few flooded roads this week to get to work. probably about 3ft in places, but tbh even with a snorkel that video was a bit daft, we know a defender will do it, but he would have looked a bit silly if he had gotten stuck.

Also what is the difference between him and the tractor, both vehicles kitted for doing the job at hand, how come the tractor is not branded as irresponsible as well.... There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Lol... I realised he had a snorkel. It's just that the whole engine must have been underwater for just about the whole time he was in the water. At least with a bow wave, technically, you can have a dryish engine bay. I have been top of the wheel deep in my defender but would be a wee bit nervous doing it for too long. Thumbs Up Previously..

Also condemned by the police as "extremely irresponsible and dangerous": -

Scott
Shackleton
Nelson
Wellington
Douglas Bader
Anyone else who ever did anything.

The police have serious hero envy. This manifests itself in two ways.

1 They always tip off the media they're doing a 'dawn raid' on some celeb arrest even though they could just ask said celeb to come down to the police station. E.g. Harry Redknapp and many others.

2 They call anyone who is being a hero "extremely irresponsible and dangerous".

Police - no one believes you. Just get on with doing your job properly instead of trying to ingraciate yourselves in the media.

And media people, can't you even do basic research before repeating parrot fashion what ever the police say?

That's brilliant, but also "extremely irresponsible and dangerous".
