Hi all, newbie here....just bought an L322 2002 Vogue v8, anyone know if its possible to install a E46 touch screen, would the electrical plugs be the same.....

E46 isn't touch screen.
Uses the Mark 3 satnav unit with cd's.

The unit is brand new for bmw e46, wondered if it would fit my RR, or does anyone have any suggestions as to how to upgrade to a better system...

If so and you have a Vogue I think you will have DSP which means it will NOT be compatible (actually says that in small print on the ad)

a wee bit cheaper, i am upgrading the satnav cd player to the MK4 DVD, i just want to bring the truck up to date really, any ideas about upgrading to DAB

You have a vogue, so assume it is the non touch screen setup with DSP amp?

I don't think you can use any of these aftermarket units with the DSP amp without ripping everything out and starting again, whicch is crazy as the OEM stuff is pretty decent.

I also think these aftermarket Chinese units will look horrible in the cabin of a RR - the OEM stuff may be a bit dated functionality wise these days but it is of a high quality and sounds excellent, and looks the part too.

You need to upgrade your SAT NAV unit to V4 DVD based system which will get you a decent nav setup (or just use your phone or a TOMTOM etc.)

You can get baris on this forum to update the amp to accept bluetooth audio streaming and/or a line in, you can buy an intravee if you want full iPod control. Alternatively, buy a Parrot which gives you all three and a hands free telephone as well. These are your options...

I too have recently bought a 2003 vogue and have already bought the DVD Sat Nav and will either be sorting out the bluetooth streaming mod or buying the Parrot asap.... haven't decided which yet. The only unknown with the Parrot is how to connect it to the OEM amp aux in, but I am sure at least one forum member has had this done.
