United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Supercharged 4.2 SC V8 Java Black

Me again, I was in Kwik Fit having them sort out my 2nd TPMS valve problem and mentioned the rear discs, calipers and pads. They advised that I might need handbrake shoes as well and that LR have some software to disable the electric handbrake bla bla bla...and so what seems a simple job is now akin to raising the Titanic.

Anyone had any experience of this? Can I just change calipers, pads and discs?

United Kingdom 2005 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

With a 2007 I think something is needed to reset the system when new SHOES and DISCS are fitted to allow the system to readjust again.

You may be able to get away with normal pads and discs as there wouldn't be much to take up the slack there.

Just like Disco's i would imagine the FF EPB can suffer faults from accumulating crud inside the discs and wearing away the pads and inner discs as well. Luckily if there is a worn in groove on the inside of the drum an MOT tester can't see it as long as they are performing their job which will be a stressful job once per year when the tester slams the brakes on... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

i got the same vibration - just at 120-130km/h (75-81mph) - when driving at very low speed there is like a squeaking sound - seems to come from the rear
