Yep, I've got one. I previously had the full system for my old P38 RR so I knew how invaluable it could be - they are so much more than a mere fault code reader.
It's an expensive piece of kit but has paid for itself by now so I've pretty much broken even on the purchase, but that is just in monetary value. The convenience and peace of mind knowing that I can fix just about any fault the car develops in the comfort of my own garage/driveway is almost impossible to put a value on.

I'm completely independent of the main dealer network now, which is such a relief it's almost priceless! Not sure you should be reading this bit.

I also have one of those.

If you wish to do something about your car your self, DIY, it's almost a must to have a tool like that.

I love having it, and keep it with me everywhere I travel.

I have the msv-2 extreme with full diagnostic capability. Registered only for my VIN number.

You find it in the shop at their site. choose kits, single vehicle.

hi, i think i will go for the faultmate fcr @199.00 as the msv-2 extreme unit is only 225.00 but then they want 300.00 for the software and thats for the single car..
unless there is other software that will work with it..

yes they do, i have been speaking wit a chap at blackbox, they inport them, beware where you buy them as most of them are sent from cyprus and you will end up paying duty on it...
but its by far te best i have found as most scanners are engine only..

So they 100% will work on a 2004 L322 RR as there site are saying for that box it's 05 on ? and I don't want to pay for the alternative which is a bit pricey!

Any chance I can get the contact who you have been speaking to as I am not in UK but would need it posted to a UK BF PO address and don't want to pay customs on it.

Are there not distributors in UK ?

Sorry for all the Questions... Whistle

Thank you for your query regarding the Faultmate FCR. Unfortunately at
this time we do not cover the legacy L322 model only the 2005 facelift
models and upwards with the CAN bus system.

We are currently working on the development of the pre 2005 L322 and P38
models and hope to have these released on the market within the next few
weeks.

this is the email i got, give these people a call and ask for steve, tell him dave gave you his number and you would like to put your name down for one of the units when they arrive.
