United Kingdom 2009 Range Rover SE TDV8 Stornoway Grey
My latest gadget

Just bought a Sonos wireless system. Connected to my Bose speakers (which have been gathering dust) it's amazing! It found my Spotify and Napster accounts and I've added all of my iTunes library.

It's been around a while but I've only just got round to buying. I can see it getting expensive when I start adding more speakers! 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Interesting. I have been looking at the Sonos system as well. I like the fact it's wireless and can be expanded. I'll need to get something as my gramophone player is no longer cutting edge technology!! Previously..

I really like the look of the Sonos, but can't justify one.

Currently I use an Airport Express to link my Apple TV in the front room to my Griffin Evolve in the dining room, so now I have 2 wireless speakers with a range that reaches the end of my garden that are controllable from the iPad, very cool! Past (too many to list, but a few favs)...

Interested what EXACTLY do you need to buy to have the system working properly in say three rooms?

Got seven zones including an outdoor one and it is fantastic.

Each zone costs roughly between £250 and £500 dependant upon size and type unless you are really pushing the boat out. Your iphone, ipad or android can be the controller.

The only other element is a bridge which may or may not be needed depending upon location of your internet router..... One device needs to be attached directly and if you don't want a zone in that room that the £40 bridge is needed.

I've just ordered 2 x Play 3 and 1x play 5 for outdoor sessions. It's not cheap but its amazing how it works. To have all speakers playing either the same or different tracks all at different volume levels is very clever IMO.
At present, I just have the amp connected to my faithful old Bose Acoustimass which I haven't used for years. That in itself is an amazing sound. I've also connected the Sky HD to it using AV cables. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

Just having a play around and discovered I don't need a Bridge connector. I plugged the Zoneplayer amp into a homeplug and it still worked. 2010 MY Vogue SE TDV8 3.6 Stornoway Grey- fully loaded

That is correct, although they have been known to cause the odd issue if the signal is marginal down your electricity system. There just needs to be one Sonos component which needs to be connected by cable rather than the Sonosnet wireless. 2011 Stornaway Grey 5.0SC Autobiography
