Snow Stories ??

Surprised not to see any "guess what happened to me today" or "my FFRR against the snow and won" stories.

OK, we only had 4/5 inches down South, so apart from a couple of four wheel slides out of junctions (yippee!) It was all pretty uneventful for me. best fun was on the motorway, I joined a convoy in the inside line of a Defender, a Disco and Me in the FFRR, all toddling along quite happily between 40/50. The crazies in their Mondeos/Insignias/BMWs all belting past at 60/70 in the two very snowy outer lanes. I got to work safely, wonder if they made it? The worst part of my journey is the last 100 yds to my house Wink

Did everyone else stay at home ? .
Experience is the only genuine knowledge, but as time passes, I have forgotten more than I can remember Wink

when there's big snow forecast they should make it law that only cars with four wheels drive are allowed to go on the roads, this will stop all the dicks in normal cars getting stuck and causing traffic jams... ... - .- -.

Stan, i don't know if you know "black dog hill" between Calne and Chippenham, but i had to wait nearly an hour because all the cars were getting stuck trying to get up there. When it was my turn i just sailed up it it laughing at all the cars stuck on the side of the road. gone fishin'

they were sold out Thud

i'd disagree Stan, i've been out in my car the last couple of nights on country lanes in several inches of snow i've not once nearly got stuck or struggled.

I think people get caught up in hype of the snow and panic when driving in the stuff causing accidents You can paypal direct using - www.paypal.me/duckworthparts

@Andy, yes i know that hill and i would thought that peeps in normal cars would put 2 and 2 together and not even contemplate trying to get up it..
